IPL 2025: SRH Replace Injured Pacer Carse With South African All-Rounder

Sunrisers Hyderabad, on March 6 (Thursday), announced South African all-rounder Wiaan Mulder as replacement for injured pacer Brydon Carse for the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Carse, who got injured while playing in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 for England, will not be able to take part in the IPL as he is still recovering from injury.
While the Sunrisers bought Carse for his base price of INR 1 Cr in a single bid, Mulder will be paid INR 75 Lakh for his appearance in IPL 2025, which is equal to his base price for the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Mulder, who recovered from an injury recently, was part of the Durban Super Giants team in the SA20 2025 and is yet to make his IPL debut.
The 27-year-old has appeared in 18 Tests, 27 ODIs and 11 T20Is for the Proteas and has one hundred and three fifties with the bat to his kitty to go along with 60 wickets.
In his T20 career, the right-arm pacer has claimed 67 wickets in 128 games and hit 2172 runs with 12 fifties.
Sunrisers will play their first game in IPL 2025 against the Rajasthan Royals on 23rd March at their home ground - Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad.
