Happy To Ride The Highs Whilst I Can: Sciver-Brunt After Being Named WPL 2025 Player Of The Tournament

With her 523 runs this season, Sciver-Brunt also went past Ellyse Perry as the player with most runs in the league

Natalie Sciver-Brunt had a perfect season as an all-rounder for the Mumbai Indians, eventually taking them to the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 title win. For her 523 runs and 12 wickets in just 10 games, she was rightfully named Player of the tournament.

Reacting to her award after Mumbai beat Delhi Capitals in the season finale on March 15 (Saturday), Sciver-Brunt said that she will continue to ride the wave of highs as long as possible.

“It has been a great year for me in the WPL. To come off the back of a lot of cricket. I'm so happy to be standing here as a winner. I will ride the highs as long as I can because I am sure there are some lows around the corner as well - but that is cricket,” said the 32-year-old.

“[I am] just happy to ride those highs whilst I can. We have a great number of all-rounders and world-class players who can stand up at any time. It is so special to be a part of a franchise that has become family,” added Sciver-Brunt.

With her 523 runs this season, Sciver-Brunt also went past Ellyse Perry as the player with most runs in the league.
