That is all from this game. West Indies get a couple of more days to rectify their issues against the spin. They need to come up with a better plan as the second game will be here in Multan and expect a rank turner once again. Join us on the 25th of this month at 4.30 am GMT and earlier for the build up. Till then, goodbye!
Shan Masood says as long as they are able to win, they'll be happy with the pitch. Tells Rizwan and Shakeel batted really well in the first innings. They talked about partnerships before the game. Shares it's hard to bat out there but to be the best team, they have to show the mindset. Feels there is still a lot to improve as a team.
Kraigg Brathwaite says they didn't form much partnership. Tells they can take a lot off this game, informs they need to be brave and believe in themselves while batting. Shares they need to be positive on this type of pitches and have the mindset to score. Admits Jayden Seales will be a legend of his country, he is phenomenal to watch.
Sajid Khan wins the MAN OF THE MATCH AWARD. He says a lot of the credit goes to the staff. Adds Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan played well in the first innings. Shares there is turn on this wicket, he bowled slower in the second innings than in the first innings. Mentions Noman Ali is an experienced player and he helps him a lot.
...Presentation...
They fell well short of that as yet again their batters struggled against the Pakistan spinners. This time it was Abrar and Sajid who took 9 between them. Alick Athanaze was the only positive for West Indies as he scored a fighting half ton but the rest just surrendered.
In their second innings, the Pakistan top order started really well but we saw a massive collapse on Day 3. The hosts slipped from 109 for 3 to 157 all out. Jomel Warrican was brilliant as he bagged a seven-fer and was involved in two run outs. That saw West Indies needing 250 runs which in itself was going to be a tough task.
The hosts’ spinners then came to the fore, the likes of Sajid and Ali ran through the West Indian batting line up and helped their side gain a lead just around 100 which is quite a big one on such surfaces. Sajid Khan took wickets of top four batters in both innings. Ali took a five-fer in first innings while his partner in crime did in the final innings.
West Indies on the other hand, will be disappointed, they had their moments but failed to capitalise on it. They had Pakistan in trouble on Day 1 at 46 for 4 but excellent knocks from Rizwan and Shakeel, helped the hosts get to a competitive total on a wicket which was turning square from Day 1.
A comprehensive win then for the hosts! Sajid Khan leads the victorious team. His teammates do his famous slap on the thigh celebration along with him. Shan Masood, from struggling to win even a single game in his first few games as Test captain has now won three games in a row at home. A commendable effort from the Pakistan side.

Sajid Khan to Alick Athanaze ,OUT! LBW! Athanaze goes and that should be the end. Tossed up full and angling on middle, Athanaze prods to defend but misses as it skids on. An appeal for LBW and up goes the finger. Athanaze of course takes the review. Ball Tracking shows THREE REDS. A fine knock from Athanaze comes to an end. Five wicket haul for Khan.
