Will Jasprit Bumrah Be Fit For IPL 2025? Wife Sanjana Ganesan Drops Important Update

Bumrah last played for the Indian team in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where he got injured during the fifth and final Test in Sydney

Jasprit Bumrah, who missed out on being part of the Indian team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, is in danger of missing the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 as well. But his wife and sports presenter, Sanjana Ganesan, gave an important update about the star pacer just ahead of India’s first game of the Champions Trophy against Bangladesh.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Bangladesh’s top all-rounder, was being interviewed by Ganesan, who is part of the ICC’s broadcast team. In the interview, Miraz asked about Bumrah’s recovery. Replying to him, Ganesan said, “He is okay. He is training at the NCA [National Cricket Academy].”

This is a clear indication that Bumrah is on his way to full fitness, and Mumbai Indians’ fans will be delighted with this news, given that their team will need Bumrah more than anything else this season. Even without Bumrah, Bangladesh are struggling big time against India. At the time of writing this, they were 115/5 in 31.2 overs. However, Miraz was pleased that Bumrah was not in the Indian side.

“He is a very different bowler and very dangerous, uff! He is not coming here. We are very happy! Everybody respects him. I got out against him two times. He has improved a lot. He bowls both ways,” said the 27-year-old.
