WATCH: Superman Glenn Phillips FLIES ONCE AGAIN To Take A Stunner

Glenn Phillips's stunning catch helped New Zealand break the 105-run opening stand for India

Most players would kill to take three jaw-dropping catches in their entire career. And then there’s Glenn Phillips, who has taken three RIDICULOUS catches in the space of 20 days.

Phillips began the Champions Trophy by taking a ridiculous one-handed grab diving to his left.

He then bettered that effort a few games later, this time diving to his right to dismiss Virat Kohli. It was an absolute stunner; the quality of the catch, at point, had the entire world talking.

Today in the final in Dubai, Phillips arguably took his best catch of the tournament, yet, by LITERALLY FLYING to send Shubman Gill back to the pavilion.

Chasing 252, India were flying at 105/0, and the game looked like it was done for good. New Zealand looked done and out.

It was at this point that Phillips took an absolute screamer to bring the BlackCaps back into the contest.

Mitchell Santner threw one up to entice Gill into the aerial drive, and the batter obliged and took the bait. Gill drove it in the air looking to clear the fielder at cover, and, for a moment, it looked like he had succeeded in doing so.

Except he hadn’t. For Phillips, fielding at cover in Kane Williamson’s absence, leapt like superman and grabbed the ball with his right hand. For a good second, Phillips’ entire body was in the air - outrageous hangtime. That is how incredible the catch was.

It helped New Zealand open the floodgates, as just three balls later, Virat Kohli perished LBW to Michael Bracewell.
