Cameron Green says he's 100 per cent ready for WTC Final comeback

Green has been out with injury ever since September 2024 and is eying a return to the game with the final round of the Sheffield Shield

Cameron Green said that he will be 100 per cent available for the World Test Championship (WTC) final, beginning June 11 at the Lord’s against South Africa.

Speaking at the Australian Cricket Awards, Green, who was making his first public appearance after getting injured during the tour of England in September 2024, said that he is finally feeling like a cricketer again.

“It’s been like a really weird summer, but at the same time, it has been nice. I have had a nice break and I am ready to get back to playing now,” Green said on February 3rd (Monday).

“100 per cent yeah,” added the 25-year-old on being asked whether he would be ready for the final at Lord’s or not. “I am starting to see the end of the tunnel and I am happy to be back, running and batting, feeling a bit more like a cricketer,” he added.

Since his injury in the summer of 2024, Green missed the all-important Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25. However, he was awarded the Community Impact Award 2024-25 for dedicating 100 hours to the cause of Kidney disease.

Before the WTC final, the big all-rounder would look to make a comeback with the final round of the Sheffield Shield
