WATCH: Australian Fielder Goes Flying In Catch Of The Year Candidate

Campbell Kellaway pulled off one of the best catches in the recent cricketing history

Victorian opener Campbell Kellaway pulled off an absolute blinder in the Sheffield Shield clash against Western Australia on March 18 (Tuesday). Stationed in the gap between fine leg and square leg, the opener had to run in before flinging himself backwards to pull off an absolutely great catch.

The catch happened in the 75th over of Western Australia’s second innings, where they were chasing 382 for a win. With a partnership blooming between Cameron Gannon and Corey Rocchiccioli, Victoria had to do something, and that something was Kellaway in the deep.

“No way, that’s impossible. That is one of the great catches that you will ever see. He makes the ground and realises that it is going over his head; this is some spectacular catch from Campbell Kellaway in the deep. You will not see anything better than that in decades. That’s a catch of a lifetime,” even the commentator was amazed.

Earlier in the same clash, Kellaway had quite a stay at the crease when he smashed 165, which led to Victoria getting themselves into a strong position. It was quite a game for the 22-year-old youngster.
