PSL 10 To Clash With IPL 2025 As Fixtures Announced

The 2025 PSL season will begin on April 11 and run until May 18

The schedule of the 10th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is announced, and as expected, it’s set to clash with the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The PSL, which is generally held in January and February, had to be shifted to April and May this year due to Pakistan hosting the ICC Champions Trophy. The 2025 season will now begin on April 11 and go on until May 18. The entirety of the competition will clash with the IPL, which is set to begin on March 22.

The first game of the PSL 2025 will be played between defending champions Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The six-team tournament will have 34 games. Lahore’s newly renovated Gadaffi Stadium is set to host 13 games, including two Eliminators and the final on May 18.

Meanwhile, Rawalpindi will host 11 games, and Karachi’s National Stadium and Multan will host five games each.

"We are thrilled to officially announce the schedule for the historic 10th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League. Over the past decade, the HBL PSL has grown into a globally recognised tournament that showcases the best of Pakistan’s cricketing talent. The fans in this year’s tournament will not only see high-profile international cricketers but will also witness 34 high-octane matches across four major cities—Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi,” PSL CEO Salman Naseer said in a statement released by Pakistan Cricket Board.

“As part of our commitment to expanding the reach of the HBL PSL, we are delighted to host an exhibition match in Peshawar before the start of the tournament, which is a significant step in bringing top-tier cricket to Peshawar, a city with a deep-rooted love for the game.

“We remain dedicated to enhancing the experience for players, fans, and stakeholders, who have witnessed some breathtaking contests in the league over the years.”
