‘Nightmare Continued’: Marsh Recalls Nephew Bowling With Bumrah’s Action

Mitchell Marsh was dismissed thrice by Bumrah during the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Mitchell Marsh endured a rough Test series against India, where his return of 73 runs in seven innings got him dropped for the fifth Test in Sydney. In particular, the Australian all-rounder suffered a humiliation against the Indian pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, who dismissed him thrice in the series, scoring just 20 runs.

The Australian all-rounder recalled a funny tale at the Australian Cricket Awards, revealing that his four-year-old nephew bowled to him with a Bumrah-like action, continuing his nightmare.

"Actually, my little nephew Ted, he’s four years old, we played backyard cricket the other day. He came in with (Jasprit) Bumrah’s action, and the nightmare continued!” the all-rounder joked.

“It’s been incredible, really ... capped off by the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and the way the boys played, especially with 10 players, without me. They did really well," Marsh added. "Yeah, before December, I felt a lot of love," Marsh added.

Marsh also joked that he would have loved to have a bat at Galle, where Australia posted 654/6, their highest-ever total in Asian conditions. The pitch was absolutely rock solid in the first innings.
