Mumbai Indians (MI) have signed South Africa all-rounder Corbin Bosch as a replacement for the injured Lizaad Williams.
Bosch, 30, was in South Africa’s Champions Trophy squad and made both his Test and ODI debuts in the last four months. A fast bowler who can hit a long ball down the order, Bosch scripted history on his Test debut against Pakistan, becoming the first-ever South African to score a fifty and take a 4+ wicket haul on Test debut.
He replaces fellow countryman Williams, who will miss the entirety of IPL 2025. Williams was purchased for his base price of INR 75 lakh at the IPL 2025 mega auction.
This is already proving to be an unfortunate season for MI when it comes to injury. They’ve already lost Afghanistan spinner Allah Ghazanfar to injury. Ghazanfar was replaced by Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
Meanwhile, it is highly unlikely that Jasprit Bumrah will be fit for the first few games of the season. Bumrah is currently recovering from a back injury he sustained during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia.
