IPL 2025: 4 overseas players who will start for Delhi Capitals (DC)

Delhi Capitals will be going into Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 with a really solid and strong squad on paper.
With seven overseas options that include dynamic talents like Tristan Stubbs, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Harry Brook, Faf du Plessis, Donovan Ferreira, Dushmantha Chameera, and Mitchell Starc, they are strongly placed to select their four overseas talents.
However, the combination would depend on their Indian talents as well because, outside of KL Rahul, they don’t have an experienced Indian batter in their team, and that’s where they would like their overseas stars to help them out. Of course, some help would be needed in the bowling department as well.
Let’s see their four most probable overseas picks.
Mitch Starc
How do you not play probably the most lethal white ball bowler in the world after Jasprit Bumrah? Especially after the last IPL season, when he peaked right at the knockouts and blew teams away to land the trophy in the lap of KKR.
DC would expect the same carnage from him as he will lead their bowling attack in the competition.
Faf du Plessis
With Fraser-McGurk going through a very bad run of form lately, the ever-reliable Faf will be a great option to open the innings along with Rahul.
Faf not only has the experience of opening the innings quite successfully in the IPL, he also has leadership experience across the globe and he can certainly chip with his timely advice for Rahul.
Tristan Stubbs
Probably the brightest batting talent in South Africa, Stubbs will be the spine of DC’s middle order. His ultra-aggressive play, combined with a very solid defence, gives him an opportunity to dictate the tempo of the innings.
DC would hope that Stubbs is in good form this season, and if he is, they can certainly hope for a good season ahead.
Harry Brook
The Englishman has already showed his hitting ability in the IPL with the Sunrisers, however Brook would have a bigger role in this batting order.
He would have to don the finisher’s role as well, along with the likes of Abhishek Porel and Ashutosh Sharma, and use his elite striking ability to win DC some games from a critical position.
