Ben Duckett Sets All-Time Record In Historic Showing Against Australia
The England opener has given England a huge chance of pipping their arch-rivals in Lahore
England batter Ben Duckett has scripted history in the ICC Champions Trophy as he has broken New Zealand's Nathan Astle's record of registering the highest score in the tournament's history. Duckett achieved this feat in England's opening match of the tournament against Australia at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Duckett also becomes the first player to score 150 in the Champions Trophy. Astle, the previous record holder, scored an unbeaten 145 off 151 deliveries against the USA at The Oval in 2004, over 20 years ago.

Duckett has now scored three ODI centuries, two of which have come against Australia. He put on 158 off 155 deliveries for the third wicket with Joe Root to set the platform for England to get a massive total.
Other than Australia, England also have South Africa and Afghanistan to contend with in Group B of this edition of the Champions Trophy.
