Harmanpreet, Mandhana, Deepti Rewarded With 'Grade A' BCCI Central Contracts
The trio have been among the most consistent performers in the Indian team over the last couple of years
The BCCI on March 24 (Monday) announced central contracts for the India Women's cricket team, covering the period between October 1, 2024 and September 30, 2025. Among the notable names, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, her deputy Smriti Mandhana and star all-rounder Deepti Sharma have been slotted in Grade A due to their consistent performances in the recent past.
Renuka Singh, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh and Shafali Verma have been retained in Grade B, while Yastika Bhatia, Radha Yadav, Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar join them in Grade C.
Rajeshwari Gayakwad (Grade B), along with Meghna Singh, Devika Vaidya, Sabbineni Meghana, Anjali Sarvani and Harleen Deol (All Grade C), who were part of the previous retention list, miss out.
Shreyanka Patil, Titas Sadhu, Arundathi Reddy, Amanjot Kaur, and Uma Chetry are among the new faces on the 16-player list.
India's next assignment is an ODI tri-series in Sri Lanka, which will also feature South Africa, from April 27 onwards. India will host the 50-over ODI World Cup later this year.
