Big Boost For SRH As Indian All-Rounder Gets Clearance From BCCI For IPL 2025 Participation
After playing a practice match , he underwent a Yo-Yo test and reportedly scored 18, way above the required 16.5 mark
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) got a major boost just ahead of the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season as Nitish Kumar Reddy, one of their five retained players, was cleared by the Center Of Excellence of the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI).
The India all-rounder, who garnered a lot of praise after his maiden Test century at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) against Australia, was diagnosed with a side strain that he pulled up during the T20I series against England.
After playing a practice match, Reddy underwent a Yo-Yo test and reportedly scored 18, way above the required 16.5 mark.
It was only in the IPL 2024 that Reddy got into the limelight, scoring 303 runs, almost always in clutch situations, at a strike rate of 142 and an average of 33.66.
Hyderabad, last season’s runner-ups, will open their IPL campaign against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on February 23 and that would be the same day when Reddy will link up with the team.
