Tripathi continued his good form after the last game, scoring 37 off just 15 deliveries after Abhishek Sharma’s early dismissal. His quick-fire cameo ensured Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 68 runs in the powerplay. 

Heinrich Klaasen’s Klaasy batting display 

It wasn’t an easy pitch to bat on, but Klaasen scored 50 off just 34 deliveries as wickets kept falling around him and took SRH to 175, which ultimately was more than par at Chepauk. 

Tom Kohler-Cadmore’s miserable batting display 

Kohler-Cadmore continued his disappointing season in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by playing another painfully slow innings where he scored 10 runs in 16 deliveries, and SRH bowlers bowled brilliantly to restrict Rajasthan Royals (RR) to 51 in the powerplay. 

SRH’s elaborate spin web 

RR were looking to come back in the game with Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 42(21). However, Player of the Match Shahbaz Ahmed (3/23) and Abhishek Sharma (2/24) picked up five wickets in the middle overs, and RR’s chase was completely derailed. Sharma was the main surprise package, as he hardly bowled this IPL. 

Dhruv Jurel’s futile lone fight 

After the derailment of their chase by spin, Jurel gave some hope to RR fans with his 56(35), but it was too late. He got no support from other finishers, Shimron Hetmyer 4(10) and Rovman Powell 6(12), and RR fell short by 36 runs.
