Simarjeet shines with the ball

Simarjeet Singh had shown glimpses of what he could do in the previous three games in the tournament, but on May 12 (Sunday), he brought out his best, as he first removed the RR openers in quick succession and then returned to get rid of Sanju Samson (15). He finished with 3/26. 

Parag stands tall

Riyan Parag (47*) came in after RR openers were dismissed back-to-back, but in tricky conditions, the all-rounder did not throw it away, helping take his side to a respectable total of 141/5.

Jadeja out in a bizarre way

Ravindra Jadeja (5) became just the third batter in IPL history to be out obstructing the field. In the 16th over of the chase, the southpaw seemed to have changed his lane after looking at the ball, which promoted the third umpire to adjudge it out.

Gaikwad anchors CSK home

Ruturaj Gaikwad (42*) held the innings together brilliantly and was unfazed by what was happening at the other end. He hit just three boundaries throughout his innings but remained unbeaten in the end to guide CSK to a five-wicket victory.
