Ahead of IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s wicketkeeper batter Ishan Kishan showed his attacking prowess, smashing a sizzling 16-ball half-century on March 15 (Saturday) in the Intra-Squad Practise Game. The left-hander opened the innings alongside Abhishek Sharma and immediately showed his form, taking on Eshan Malinga.
The pair got themselves off to a racing start, taking 21 runs off Kamindu Mendis’ first over. But Kishan really only kick-started his innings against Malinga when he smashed him for a huge six off the first ball. Kishan was on 17 off seven balls before he once again smashed the Sri Lankan for a boundary through the mid-off region.
Kishan then really got into the net bowler Vikash, with 18 runs off the over. Even the experience of Harshal Patel wasn’t as successful as the left-hander got to his half-century with two sixes against the former PBKS pacer.
Eventually, the former MI batter got out after scoring 24-ball 64 but had made the impact by then.
