Rohit remains No.3 among batters in ICC men's ODI rankings

Rohit Sharma closed in the gap on Virat Kohli who stayed No.2 in the latest ICC ODI batting rankings
Indian limited-over skipper Rohit Sharma remained third while former captain Virat Kohli held on to his second spot, in the latest ICC men's ODI batting rankings on Wednesday.
Rohit, who scored a fluent 60 off 51 balls in the first ODI against West Indies, moved to 807 rating points and closed the gap between himself and Kohli, who is on 828 points. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam continued is reign at the top, while his teammate Fakhar Zaman moved up a spot to ninth while England's Joe Root broke into the top 10.
West Indies' Shai Hope, who scored 8 runs in the first ODI, lost out on valuable points and slipped out of the top 10.
The bowlers' rankings remained unchanged with New Zealand's Trent Boult leading the charts followed by Australia's Josh Hazlewood and England's Chris Woakes. Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is the only Indian in the top 10 at seventh.
West Indies' Jason Holder, following his 57 in the first ODI in Ahmedabad, went up four places in the allrounder's list to 17th while Ireland's Andy McBrine swapped places with India's Hardik Pandya at 12th. Ravindra Jadeja remained eighth as Shakib al Hasan leads the unchanged top 10 allrounders rankings.
