Ishan Kishan hospitalised following blow to the head, ruled out of 3rd T20I

India batter Ishan Kishan has been hospitalised where he underwent a brain scan after being struck on the head during the second T20 International (T20I) against Sri Lanka in Dharamsala.
Kishan scored a 15-ball 16 in the match and was struck by a bouncer by Lahiru Kumara in the fourth over of the innings. The medical team then rushed on to the field to do a concussion test.
"Ishan Kishan was admitted to Fortis Hospital for brain scan after being hit on the head by Lahiru Kumara bouncer," a BCCI source told PTI.
"He stayed overnight at the hospital as a precautionary measure."
BCCI confirmed that Kishan's scans were normal and has been sidelined for the third and final T20 at Dharamsala.
"Accompanied by a Team Doctor, he was taken to a local hospital last night for a check-up where a CT scan was conducted. The findings of the CT scan are normal.The BCCI Medical Team will continue to closely monitor his signs of concussion," an official release said on Sunday.
Either Mayank Agarwal or Venkatesh Iyer could open the batting alongside skipper Rohit Sharma.
Batters Ruturaj Gaikwad and Suryakumar Yadav and pacer Deepak Chahar are already out of the series with injuries.
India already have the three-match T20I series in the bag having won the first and second matches by seven wickets and 62 runs respectively.
