CSK Legends Make Fun Of RCB's Trophyless IPL Record
Meanwhile, CSK have five IPL titles - the joint-most alongside Mumbai Indians (MI).
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have been in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since the start of the tournament in 2008 but are yet to win a trophy.
RCB have started the IPL 2025 with a win against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and are next scheduled to take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Chepauk on March 28 (Friday). The last time RCB beat CSK in Chennai was in 2008.
Meanwhile, CSK have five titles - the joint-most alongside Mumbai Indians (MI).
Former CSK players Subramaniam Badrinath and Ambati Rayudu were seen making fun of RCB’s trophyless history in the IPL.
In his own YouTube channel, Badrinath asked Rayudu: “Will RCB jinx be broken this year?”
Rayudu responded: “Purely as a fan, and as someone who had really good laughter at them over the years because of what they do to themselves, I would want them to win some time.
“Not this year, maybe. We want CSK to do well and win it this year. In the end, we need someone like RCB in the IPL (laughs).”
Last year, it was RCB who defeated CSK in the league stage and stopped them from qualifying for the playoffs.
