Bangladesh add Parvez Hossain to the squad for the last T20I
Ahead of the final T20I against Pakistan, back-up opener Parvez Hossain has been added to the squad
On Saturday (November 20), Pakistan took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. With the two sides set to play in the longest format post the conclusion of the three-match series, the hosts have added Parvez Hossain as a back-up opener.
According to Cricbuzz’s reports, Saif Hassan has been asked to leave the team hotel and join the Test probables in Chattogram for the longer format. The probables are set to train themselves in the preparatory camp before the Test series opener on November 26.
''We have added Emon (Parvez) for the last game,'' BCB chief selector Minhajul confirmed to Cricbuzz on Saturday.
The report also suggested that the management are sweating over the fitness of key pacer Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam.
''Mustafizur felt a sudden pain in his side during his second over of bowling today. He will be reassessed again tomorrow and a decision will be made on whether he will be match-fit for the final T20 international of the series,'' said the BCB in a statement.
On the left-arm pacer Shoriful, the official said, "He got a groin injury and we are waiting to see his condition at night.”
