That's it from this game then! Another game follows and that's a clash between the Phoenix and the Superchargers. Till then, goodbye and take care.
Sam Curran, MAN OF THE MATCH, he says the wicket was good and it was a great ground to bat on. Adds the openers batter really well but the knew they could squeeze once they get a wicket. Adds it's different everyday and they have a side full of match winners.
Overton then kept them going, he hit a few mighty blows towards the end and it came down to 7 in the last 5. Curran it was to Oval's rescue who yet again was brilliant with both bat and ball. It was his innings which took them to the score they got and it was his last set of five which won them the game.
We initially thought this was well above par but Matthew Hurst and Phil Salt came out all guns blazing. Especially the former who smashed the ball to all parts. When they were batting, Manchester were on top. Both though fell in quick succession and the game turned towards the visitors. Walter however, played a brilliant knock down the order but he and Raza then fell in quick succession.
Yet another time when Manchester fall short by just! Yet another game where Manchester give it away despite being in a very strong position. Also, this loss means, they are now out of the tournament. Credit to Oval to hold their nerve. Sam Curran, the star of the tournament so far for them, yet again does a brilliant job towards the end defending 7 from the last set. Simply outstanding.
