That is all from this game. Royals lose their first game of the season but they'll hope to bounce back quickly as they are back in action against Guyana Amazon Warriors on the 15th of this month at 4.30 am IST (11 pm GMT, the previous day). Join us earlier for the coverage. Till then, cheers!

Kieron Pollard says it was a total team effort and is happy to see the players put their hands up and help the team win. Tells the bowlers did well to restrict them to such a total and would have taken the score before the game. Mentions there is room for improvement, today Shaqkere Parris and Keacy Carty did a good job in the middle phase.

Rovman Powell says his boys showed a lot of fight. Tellls they were 10-15 runs short, Trinbago Knight Riders are a world class team but with rain around, the pitch played differently to one when they were batting. Mentions the ball was just four overs old with no dew at all and the umpires changed it so it was a blunder from their point.

...Presentation...

Akeal Hosein wins the Player of the Match award. He says he was trying to be calm but was upset that he fell without taking his team over the line. Tells they are working hard to get the success back and fight for the trophy once again.

Barbados Royals were short of few runs but Rovman Powell will be happy with how his bowlers responded with dew and rain around.  Barbados Royals were on course for long period of time but a couple of overs in the middle phase went for plenty which kept the opposition in the game right till the end. Barbados Royals would have been confident going into the last over with the experienced Jason Holder held to do the job but it was just not meant to be.

Trinbago Knight Riders were without Andre Russell and Dwayne Bravo but for the first time this season, it felt like the young diamonds stepped up for them. Trinbago Knight Riders lost openers cheaply but Parris played a slow inning but a valuable one as he didn't give away his wicket easily. Nicholas Pooran and Keacy Carty played around him and posted a good stand. Trinbago Knight Riders did look in a spot of bother when Kieron Pollard fell but Akeal Hosein played a critical innings hitting four boundaries but the final blow came from the blade of Terrance Hinds.

Ohh! T20 cricket, you never disappoint us! Two balls earlier when Akeal Hosein fell, Barbados Royals felt this is it, this is the match winning moment. However, a no ball follows and the game turns on its head.
