Right then, that is it from our coverage of this one-sided encounter between South Africa Under-19 and Sri Lanka Under-19 where the hosts completely dominated the young Lankans. The action doesn't stop for you; you can just switch tabs and join us in our coverage of the other match in the ICC Under-19 World Cup between India Under-19 and Nepal Under-19. Until then, goodbye and cheers!

Kwena Maphaka is the Player of the Match for his scintillating six-wicket haul.

Earlier in the innings, Lhuan-dre Pretorius put up another impressive performance and scored 71 runs building a strong foundation for his team. The other contributed with some runs but couldn't carry their innings deep. Romashan Pillay looked to be struggling a lot out there as he couldn't get some runs under his belt. Riley Norton, Tristan Luus, and Nqobani Mokoena provided a strong ending pushing South Africa Under-19 to the score of 232 runs. Vishwa Lahiru, Malsha Tharupathi, and Supun Waduge were the pick of the bowlers for their two wickets each while Sineth Jayawardena was the most economical. They managed to put up a decent bowling performance but in the chase, they were dominated by the South Africa Under-19 team.

Another disappointing performance from Sri Lanka Under-19 has led to their loss. It was the batting unit again that put another poor performance. They had a poor start where Pulindu Perera, Sineth Jayawardena, and Supun Waduge couldn't get going and put their team under pressure early on in the innings. Dinura Kalupahana, Hirun Kapurubandara, and Sharujan Shanmuganathan showed some intent but none of them could carry their innings deep. Malsha Tharupathi handled it in the lower stages but it was very late for them by that time. Only four of their batters could cross over to the double-digit scores. For the young Proteas, Kwena Maphaka made the top 5 batters his prey and got a fifer early on in the innings. Riley Norton supported him with his four-wicket haul and it was just a matter of time before the game was sealed. Kwena Maphaka dismissed the last batter and took a six-fer. Kwena Maphaka has now taken the most 5-wicket hauls in YODI's. The Lankans will need to have a tough discussion in the dressing room regarding their performance.
