Right then, that's it from the coverage of this game. The action in the Hundred continues as Trent Rockets Men will be lockings horns against Welsh Fire Men. SARAH BRYCE WINS THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD. The match-winner is in for a chat. She expressed her pleasure with the win and her role in taking the side over the line. She mentioned that they knew spending time at the crease would result in runs. They targeted the deep pockets in the ground, confident in their strategy. Having done it before, she had confidence in herself, and this victory will boost their belief as they have now won two away games in a row. Ends by saying that team is gelling well and having a great time, which helps them a lot.

Earlier in the innings, Trent Rockets Women lose two quick wickets after electing to bat first, but then came some handy contributions from Natalie Sciver-Brunt, Natasha Wraith and Ashleigh Gardner which helped them to post a competitive total on the scoreboard. It was Jess Jonassen who troubled with her bowling as she took two wickets, and then came on to do some damage with the bat as well. Trent Rockets Women continue to hunt for their elusive victory, as they record three defeats on the trot here, with just two points to their name so far.

Although, after that breakthrough, Welsh Fire Women got back in the contest, with Jess Jonassen and Sarah Bryce forging a solid partnership of 38 runs off 34 deliveries, to keep their side in the hunt here, but then came another twist in the tale with Jess Jonassen giving away her wicket out of nowhere. This wicket surely would've instilled some confidence back into the hosts, but they lost their edge in the field. Welsh Fire Women needed 34 runs in the final 20 deliveries, and Trent Rockets Women hand a slight advantage heading into the final phase, although they lost their concentration in the field. There were plenty of misfields, which helped Welsh Fire Women to come back in the contest and seal the game in their favour. Sarah Bryce was the one who was guarding the wickets, in the first innings, and she made the most of it as she came back on with the sword, remained calm throughout her innings, and took her side home with a fantastic half-century.

Welsh Fire Women have made it three wins in a row now and have strengthend their position in the points table as well. Even Welsh Fire lost both their openers quite early and cheaply, which automatically put them under pressure in this run chase. Despite it being a decent score, it wasn't easy for the batters at all as the wicket was quite on the slower side. Hayley Matthews though made her intentions clear, by scoring boundaries at will early on, with Sarah Bryce providing her with some ideal support from the other end. Then came Natalie Sciver-Brunt with the ball in hand and she worked her magic with the slower one to get rid of Hayley Matthews who was set and looking dangerous.

Trent Rockets Women would've felt that they were 10 runs short on this wicket, 140 should've been enough for them, but with 131 to chase down Welsh Fire Women always believed in themselves as they had the momentum on their side. The game went down to the wire, but Welsh Fire Women remained calm, came from behind and made sure to steal two important points from this game.
