Spinners script history to help Pakistan snap winless streak at home

Noman Ali and Sajid Khan, between them, picked all 20 wickets to fall in the Test

The dreaded run is over. The winless streak has finally been put to bed.

That’s right, after 11 Tests, 3 years and 1,352 days, Pakistan have finally won a Test match at home. They’ve triumphed over England by 152 runs in Multan to not just end the winless 11-match streak at home but also storm back into the three-Test series.

And the victory was propelled by a historic showing from their spinners Sajid Khan and Noman Ali, both of whom ironically did not feature in the first Test.

Noman Ali and Sajid Khan, between them, picked all 20 wickets to fall in the Test, making it the first instance of spinners taking all 20 wickets for Pakistan in a Test this century.

In fact, it was only the third instance in Test history of Pakistan spinners taking all 20 wickets in a Test.
