The sixth-wicket partnership of 139 between Shahadat Hossain (80) and Jaker Ali (62) alongside Jakir Hasan's 46 were the only bright spots for Bangladesh A on the first day of the second four-day match against India A in Sylhet on Tuesday.
Pacer Mukesh Kumar ripped through the hosts' batting line up with 6-40 as they were bundled out for 252 in their first innings. India A were 11/0 at stumps with openers Abhimanyu Easwaran (3 not out) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (8 not out) at the crease.

After earning a hard-fought draw with one wicket in hand in the first game, Bangladesh A were pushed to the limit yet again Test players Shadman Islam (4), Mahmadul Hasan Joy (12), Mominul Haque (15), Mohammad Mithun (4) all departing for single-digit scores.
Jakir Hasan, whose 173 helped Bangladesh A draw the first match, scored nine boundaries in his brief innings before Mukesh triggered a top order collapse. Shahadat and Jaker took them past 200 from 84/5 before Umesh Yadav broke the stand by dismissing Jaker.
India A, bolstered by Umesh and Navdeep Saini's addition, troubled the home team with Umesh picking up 2-55. Off-spinner Jayant Yadav contributed with 2-56.
India A will look to gain a substantial lead on the second day with Cheteshwar Pujara and KS Bharat added to their playing XI.
