Keemo Paul added to West Indies squad for Pakistan ODIs
The 24-year-old from Guyana hasn't played for West Indies since November 2020
West Indies have added fast-bowling all-rounder Keemo Paul to their ODI set-up for the three-match series against Pakistan, starting on Wednesday (June 8) in Multan.
The 24-year-old from Guyana hasn't played for West Indies since November 2020. Meanwhile, his last ODI came way back in February 2020. Paul has featured in 19 ODIs for West Indies, scoring 214 runs at an average of 23.77 and picking up 23 wickets at 38.30.
Lead selector Desmon Haynes said, "Keemo Paul has been kept out in the recent past due to injury and we view the management of his body as paramount to his success, not only when on West Indies duty but also when he is with his regional franchise.
"We have watched him perform in the recent West Indies Championship Four-Day Competition for the Guyana Harpy Eagles and we think he is ready to come back into the fold."
In the Four-Day Championship, Paul claimed 20 wickets at an average of 22.8 in five encounters. He was also impressive with the bat, scoring 169 runs including a highest score of 73.
