Players to watch out for

Nicholas Pooran: The West Indies batter has been in sublime form in the tournament, having smashed 200 runs at 40 to go with a strike rate of 141.84, including a highest score of 98. He has been destructive against both pacers and spinners, striking at 135.9 and 149.21, respectively against them. USA will have to get the better of Pooran early to have any chance of staying alive in the game.

Andries Gous: Another batter who is equally good against both pace and spin Gous showed off his wide aray of shots against South Africa in the previous game and gave the US a chance. Gous has had a sublime start to his T20I career, having hit fiur fifties in 10 innings already since making his debut against Canada earlier this year.

Akeal Hosein: Hosein has the most wickets for a spinner in a powerplay, accounting for six victims at an economy rate of under five and will once again be key for West Indies in the phase. Overall, out of his nine wickets in the tournament six have been against left-handed batters (Ave 13.5, SR 14.3), while three have come against right-handers (Ave 5.3, SR 9.3). If the US are able to negotiate Hosein, they could have a good chance.

Key Battles

Netravalkar vs right-handers

All six of Saurabh Netravalkar's wickets in this edition of the T20 World Cup have come against right-handers. He has struck once every 9.5 runs and 11.2 deliveries apart to go with an economy rate of just 5.1. He could once again have a field day against the West Indies given that they are stocked with right-handeed batters in their line-up. West Indies have just two lefties in their top seven, and the American pacer could very well be a thorn in their flesh.

What makes it even more impressive is 26 of Netravalkar's 33 T20I victims have been right-handers, further proving why he could be a threat.
