Bangladesh players to be rewarded with bonuses for Pakistan whitewash

A special ceremony has been organized at the Padma Hall of Pan Pacific Sonargaon on September 14

The month of September is all set to get even better for the Bangladesh Test players as they are set to be rewarded with bonuses by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for the team’s historic 2-0 triumph away in Pakistan.

Prior to the two-Test series in August, Bangladesh had never beaten Pakistan in a Test match, home or away. But, this time around, under the captaincy of Najmul Hossain Shanto, the Tigers completed a sensational whitewash, winning both the Tests in Rawalpindi comprehensively.

According to bdcrictime, Bangladesh’s Test players are all set to get a ‘generous bonus’.

“To honor the team’s remarkable success, the BCB will be rewarding the players with bonuses. A special ceremony has been organized at the Padma Hall of Pan Pacific Sonargaon on September 14, where the bonuses will be distributed. The event will be held at 4 PM, and the Chief Guest will be Interim Chief Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan,” read a report from bdcrictime.

The exact amount of the bonus for the players hasn’t yet been disclosed.

The Bangladesh team is expected to fly to Chennai within the next 48 hours for the two-Test series against India, starting on September 19 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

The clash will be Bangladesh’s first ever Test at the iconic Chepauk.
