That's it from our coverage of this game and this entertaining series. Rovman Powell collects the trophy and the whole West Indies team celebrates together and pose for some pictures now. However, the cricketing action does not end here as South Africa have a crucial two-match ODI series against Netherlands coming up which will decide if they qualify directly to the World Cup or not. The first match will be played on 31st March, Friday at 4.30 pm IST (11 am GMT), but as you know you can join us earlier for the build-up. Until then, take care and goodbye from us.

Rovman Powell, the West Indies skipper says that they were disappointed after the previous game. Adds Romario Shepherd and Alzarri Joseph batted well in the end. Mentions Joseph was terrific with the ball too. Says that the guys are told to be fearless and play with freedom with a hint of smartness as well.  Adds that he is happy for Joseph and a lot of credit goes to him.  Closes by saying that he is glad about the series win.

Johnson Charles is the Player of the Series. He says that he was very happy to come after 6 years and win the Man Of the Series award. Adds that It’s a nice feeling to win a T20 series in South Africa after 8 years. Mentions that he keeps playing all around the world and keeps himself ready. Adds that he works on his basics and makes them sharper. Closes by saying that he will continue doing the thing that has worked for him.

Alzarri Joseph, the Player of the Match for his 5 wickets says that they made a good total and it was up to the bowlers to defend it. Adds that it is good to get the captain's backing and feels nice. Mentions that it's been a long tour and it is about managing the load. Closes by saying that he enjoys leading by example and hopes to carry on.

Aiden Markram the skipper of South Africa says that it was a good game of cricket but they fell short with the bat. Adds that the bowlers were a lot better in this match. Mentions that they should have wrapped up the last 2 wickets and not allowed the Windies lower order to get that many. Adds that he believes that they are improving and on the right path. Closes by saying that he enjoyed his time as the captain but was disappointed with the result.

Time for Presentations...

West Indies made 220 earlier in the day on the back of fine knocks from Brandon King, Nicholas Pooran, and Romario Shepherd in particular at the end to tilt the game in West Indies's favor with a huge last over. Anrich Nortje was the pick of the pacers with 2 wickets and he bowled a fine spell. West Indies will be delighted with the win and happy to end the tour on a high.

Chasing 221 was not going to be easy for South Africa as West Indies came with better plans and did not give freebies. Sheldon Cottrell bowled a solid first over and set the tone for the innings. Quinton de Kock struggled his way through 21 before he got out but Reeza Hendricks and Rilee Rossouw batted with intent and got the boundaries flowing at regular intervals. The dismissal of Rossouw got the run rate down and the West Indies squeezed in some tight overs. Reeza Hendricks played a valiant knock of 83 but the target proved to be a little too big for them.

A tremendous performance by the West Indies throughout the series makes them the deserved winners by 2-1. They take this game by 7 runs and are delighted with this win. We got to witness yet another high-scoring thriller between these two sides as more than 400 runs were scored. After being pummeled in the previous T20I where they couldn't defend 258 runs, the West Indies come back strong to successfully defend 220 runs in this game and clinch the T20I series 2-1 to end their South Africa tour on a high. The final over from Kagiso Rabada where he leaked 26 runs probably turned out to be a game-changing moment in the end. West Indies bowlers came out on top here after going for plenty in their previous game. Alzarri Joseph was the pick of the bowlers with 5 for 40 in his spell. Jason Holder chipped in with a wicket while the rest of the bowlers held their nerve and did not allow South Africa to chase this down. A truly commanding effort by the Men in Maroon to beat the Proteas in their home conditions.
