Right then. That’s it from the coverage of this game. So, the White Ferns move to the second spot in the points table while India Women are pushed down to the fifth spot and this loss has also affected their NRR a lot. The ICC Women’s World Cup will continue on 11th March. It is a game which sees a contest between Pakistan Women and South Africa Women. The first ball is at 6.30 am IST (1 am GMT). But as you all know you can join us early for the build-up. Till then take care and goodbye!

Sophie Devine, New Zealand Women skipper, is in for a chat. She says it was a complete performance, Kerr and Amy were brilliant, they felt they were short but the bowlers were outstanding. Mentions it is their strength, different people perform when needed. Adds Tahuhu was brilliant, she set the tone and Frances Mackay was also really good and with the options they have, they can be flexible. Ends by saying the first game they played was a great game of cricket, they did not play near their best but they were really good today and looking forward to the next game.

Mithali Raj, the India Women skipper, is in for a chat. She says the bowlers did well to pull things back, they were looking at 270 but they did well to restrict them to a low score. Adds they lost quite a few wickets earlier on and they needed someone to play through. Mentions the hosts' seamers were bowling well but they could have done better. Ends by saying the top middle-order needs to fire, the bowlers have done well but the batting needs to do better.

Amy Satterthwaite wins the Man of the Match award for her exception effort with blade. She says, it was an interesting wicket to bat on. She just tried to apply herself and made the most of it. Adds the bowlers were outstanding in the opening 20 overs and did well to put India under pressure straightaway.

Stay tuned for presentation.

For India, it was a poor batting display. They just lacked intent and were quite defensive. That just built the pressure and when they tried the big shot, it did not come off. Kaur was the only one who put up a fight, she fought a lone battle but it was too much of a task for her. Quite disappointing, the whole performance from the Indians.

A superb display with the ball by the hosts! We felt they were a few under-par at the end of the first innings but they have defended the runs quite easily. They were extremely disciplined, built the pressure and got wickets courtesy the pressure that was built. Jess Kerr was brilliant with the new ball. Lea Tahuhu was at her best. Hannah Rowea did go for a few but the others were so good, that it covered up for them. Tahuhu was probably the pick along with Amelia Kerr. Both got three. Hayley Jensen picked a couple to end the Indian innings.
