Right then, that's it for today. Victoria have successfully managed to get their first points on the board. The actions continue as we have a ga,e lined up on Sunday, the 1st of December between Rangpur Riders and Victoria. The game begins at 7:30 pm IST (2 pm GMT), but as you know, our build-up begins much sooner so do join us for the same. Until then, take care, and cheers!

Corey Anderson, the skipper of Victoria says he is proud of how the team played and he couldn't have asked for more. Mentions that beating a tough and experienced side like Guyana in their own backyard is a big achievement. Credit the bowlers and acknowledge that their variations and change of pace were key to restrict Guyana Amazon Warriors to 160.

The skipper of Guyana Amazon Warriors, Imran Tahir says that they have made many mistakes in the fielding which is not acceptable at this stage. He also continues that they did well with the bat and they were able to set a good target on the board but they will learn from their mistakes and they will surely bounce back.

Karima Gore is the Player Of The Match and he says that he is happy to contribute to a winning cause and he learned a lot from how the Guyana Amazon Warriors batters batted. Adds that he gave himself time before swinging and it worked in his favor. Mentions that Drakes helped him and advised him to target the shorter boundaries.

The presentation ceremony...

Earlier in the day, batting first Guyana Amazon Warriors posted 162 on board. The side could have got a lot more but an excellent last over where Max Birthisel gave away just 6 runs proved to be decisive. Moeen Ali scored a half-century while Shai scored 40. Hassan Khan played a good cameo of 25 as well. Jackson took a couple while others apart from Karima Gore took one each.

The bowlers of Guyana Amazon Warriors did have enough total to defend. The bowlers did well for the first half of the chase but lost the plot in the last 10 overs. Tahir took 2 while Motie, Hassan, and Tanzim took one apiece.

What an entertaining match it was! It was the first match for the Victorians and they certainly came out as a surprise package! Chasing down a decent enough total the Victorian batters walked out with a clear mindset and a positive intent. The Victorian batters did lose a couple early on at 27 but the batters coming in made sure that the scoreboard pressure never mounts on them. After being 5 down at 96, the target looked a bit too much but a timely cameo from Karima Gore and Scott Edwards along with the finishing touch from Dominic Drakes made sure that the side took two points home.
