Right then, that is it for the game! The Desert Vipers get their second win of the tournament. The International League T20, 2024 action continues as we have a game lined up on Wednesday, the 31st of January. It will be Abu Dhabi Knight Riders versus Gulf Giants at 8 p.m. IST (2.30 p.m. GMT), but as you know, our build-up begins much sooner, so do join us for the same. Until then, take care, and cheers!

Mohammad Amir is the player of the match. He says that it feels good and it was an interesting game. Adds that he always tries to swing the ball and ends bys saying that its a t20 game so they know the batters will come hard.

Colin Munro the skipper of Desert Vipers says that the scoreboard says that it was a great game. Adds that everyone was excellent and it was a great game of cricket. Ends by saying that they have some learnings to take away from this game and they will build on that.

Nicholas Pooran the skipper of MI Emirates says that they fell short of 15-20 runs. Adds that everyone gave their best but they just couldn't get over the line. Ends by saying that they will come back stronger.

Presentations coming up...

Earlier in the match, Ambati Rayudu and Akeal Hosein had a 49-run partnership, but their innings lacked momentum. Wickets fell regularly, and it was only thanks to Tim David's late surge that MI Emirates reached close to 150 runs. Mohammad Amir took three wickets for Desert Vipers, while Matheesha Pathirana and Luke Wood took two each. Wanindu Hasaranga took one wicket and bowled well, while Shaheen Shah Afridi went wicketless and was expensive.

The Desert Vipers were off to a shaky start and kept losing wickets at timely intervals. The score they had to chase was low, though. They were on the losing side, but Sherfane Rutherford's quickfire knock of 35 runs turned the tables. Shaheen Afridi later played a knock of 17 runs off 12 deliveries to get their side over the line on the very last ball! In three overs, Rohid Khan claimed three wickets for 21 runs for MI Emirates. Fazalhaq Farooqi and Dwayne Bravo each took a pair of wickets as they kept things close. Waqar Salamkheil also took a wicket.

What a contest of cricket we have noticed here at Dubai International Cricket Stadium! The game went down to the very last ball, and it was Shaheen Afridi who got three runs off it to get the Desert Vipers over the line! They get their second win of the competition. MI Emirates put up a good fight, though, but couldn't pull off the victory!
