With the Women’s T20 World Cup right around the corner, another Warmup game comes to an end with Sri Lanka Women playing Bangladesh Women out in all the departments of the game and sealing a 33 run victory. The Warmup games move on its next phase, a triple header night where India Women stand infront of West Indies Women, New Zealand Women face South Africa Women and Australia Women take on England Women. Sri Lanka's all-round performance sets them up well for the upcoming T20 World Cup, carrying the momentum of a solid win into the tournament. The management and the players would want to repeat such performances in the main rounds of the tournament.
Although Bangladesh's top order found some boundaries early on, wickets began to tumble, halting any momentum they gained. Bangladesh could only manage 110/9 in their 20 overs, never fully recovering after Sugandika Kumari's stunning hat-trick in the 14th over, which effectively ended their hopes of chasing down the target.
Sri Lanka Women secured a commanding 33-run victory in their warm-up match against Bangladesh Women, building confidence ahead of the T20 World Cup. After opting to bat first, Sri Lanka Women posted a competitive total of 143 runs on a tricky wicket in their 20 overs. Their bowlers then came out with intent, putting Bangladesh Women under immense pressure right from the start.
