That’s it from the 50-over format. Kusal Mendis gets the trophy as Sri Lanka win the series and now they pose for the cameras. It is now time for the T20I series between the two. Let's hope rain stays away from Colombo this time. That begins on the 14th of this month. Join us at 7 pm IST (1.30 pm GMT). Join us earlier for the build up as well. Cheers!

Craig Ervine says the players showed a fight. Got a decent start but Wanindu Hasaranga was just special today. Adds it is easier to bat early on but the pitch starts to turn later on. Reckons they were a couple of positive things and hope to carry it to the T20I games.

Janith Liyanage wins the Player of the Series award. He says he was performing well in domestic cricket so he just played his natural game and trusted himself. Reckons he just wants to help the team and doesn't mind where he bats in the order.

Wanindu Hasaranga wins the Player of the Match award. He says it was good to come back after so many months. Adds he worked hard to come back to the international game. Shares on the T20 game, says they have a balanced squad and hopes to do well.

...Presentation next...

The star though was the comeback man, Wanindu Hasaranga, it was his heroics in the first innings which won the game for Lanka. The rain too did not help Zimbabwe. Overall they were beaten by a far superior side. Wanindu Hasaranga was just too good for Zimbabwe to play him. He took seven wickets which certainly sealed the deal for Sri Lanka.

A thumping win then for the Lankans. It was never in doubt once they bowled Zimbabwe out for a low score. They lost a wicket early but the stand between Kusal Mendis and Shevon Daniel sealed the deal. Mendis was the highlight with the bat and the rest played around him as he scored a fifty.
