Right then. That’s it from the coverage of this game. The action from Pakistan Super League continues on 6th February. It is Karachi Kings locking horns against Islamabad United at 2000 IST (1430 GMT). Do join us then and make sure you tune in early for the buildup. Cheers!

Mohammad Rizwan, the victorious skipper of Multan Sultans and the Player of the Match, says that he tries to be mentally stable and keeps things simple. Adds that a player should play according to the conditions and match situations and he also tells the same to all his youngsters in the team. Mentions that he credits his team manager for picking up Tim David and applauds Tim by saying that he should have been the Player of the Match.

Wahab Riaz, the skipper of Peshawar Zalmi, is in for a chat. He says, they did not bowl really well. Adds that he will take the blame for today’s performance and is really unhappy about the way he led his side. Adds they need to work on the fielding department in the next game. Says, the side does not need many changes. The players have the capability to do well and hopefully they can showcase it in the next game.

Stay tuned for presentation...

Earlier in the innings, Multan Sultans first dominated with the blade and racked up 222 runs in 20 overs. Later, they came back on the field and it was no different. Multan Sultans were dictating terms with the ball and in the end came out victorious.

Imran Tahir is up for a quick chat. He says that it is a great win for them. Tells that they want to keep performing well and win each and every game. Adds that couple of Peshawar Zalmi's batters batted well but they bowled well as a unit. Mentions that he likes to read the mind of the batters and he sticks to his game plan at any cost. Applauds Shahnawaz Dahani by saying that he is a very strong guy and a very important part of their team and he is very happy for Dahani.

A top-class performance by the Multan Sultan bowlers. All the bowlers were on song but they leaked some extra runs in the death overs. It was Shahnawaz Dahani who started the proceedings. He took two wickets inside the Powerplay. And since then, Multan Sultans were all over the opposition. It was Imran Tahir who ran havoc with his spin in the middle overs and took three wickets. There was a mini game going on between Tahir and Dahani, about who will cover most ground during a celebration. But it looks like it was a draw today, as both ended with three wickets each. Blessing Muzarabani and Abbas Afridi took a wicket each as well.

Peshawar Zalmi could not have asked for a better start with the bat. Hazratullah Zazai and Kamran Akmal kept them in touch with the asking run rate. Despite losing Akmal early on, Ali and Zazai kept the runs flowing. But once Haider Ali fell, it was like a procession after that. Malik took time to get his eye in but by then, the run rate had already crept up. The batters could not handle the pressure and Zalmi lost wickets in cluster. Some lusty blows in the death by Cutting made sure they do not lose by a huge margin.

Multan Sultans still remain unbeaten in this campaign. They have made it 5 wins on the trot now. The defending champions are just enjoying their time on the field. Peshawar Zalmi succumbed under pressure and recorded their third defeat of the season.
