Right then, that is all from this game. Don't go anywhere as we have one more game coming up that sees the Melbourne Renegades taking on Melbourne Stars. Do switch tabs and follow the action in the Melbourne Derby. See you there!

Matthew Kuhnemann is the Player of the Match for his match-winning spell of 2 for 26 from his four overs.

Earlier in the day, the Brisbane Heat were off to a decent start in their batting effort. Marnus Labuschagne was the top run scorer along with contributions from Matt Renshaw and Josh Brown through the middle overs. They failed to finish on a high and scrapped their way to 154 before being bowled out inside their allotted quota of 20 overs. However, their bowlers stepped up and did the job for them by defending a below-par total.

At the halfway mark, Adelaide Strikers would have fancied themselves to chase down the total. However, they were dealt an early blow as they lost Travis Head in the first over. They then lost Chris Lynn and Alex Carey to put them in a spot of bother. They failed to recover from that start and were behind the eight-ball from then. They never got going at any stage in the chase and in the end, they fell short by 17 runs.

Brisbane Heat register their third win of the season and stay alive in BBL 12! A dominant display with the ball sees them secure a solid win and this win lifts them off the bottom of the standings. Having failed to put up a good score on the board, the onus was on the Brisbane Heat bowlers to step up and take early inroads with the new ball. Matthew Kuhnemann set the tone early removing Travis Head in the first over and they continued to chip in the wickets at regular intervals. The spinners backed the pacers tremendously in the middle overs and did not allow the Adelaide Strikers to get a firm grip on the game. Towards the end, they were equally good and as a result, won the game by 17 runs. James Bazley was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 30 from his four overs while Matthew Kuhnemann chipped in with two wickets.
