Right then, that is the end of this T20 series. The trophy has been handed to Mitchell Marsh. South Africa will have to bounce back now as we move our focus on the ODI series between these two sides. It will be on Thursday, the 7th of September at 4.30 pm IST (11 am GMT). Do join us for the early build-up as well. Until then, take care and cheers!

Mitchell Marsh the skipper of Australia says that he enjoys coming and playing in South Africa. Adds that they played some positive cricket and he is proud of his team. He says that he has matured as a leader and learned from the early days as Perth Scorchers captain. Mentions that they are building towards the T20I World Cup next year and are pleased with the domestic played who have stepped up for them. Ends by saying that it is never easy to win in South Africa but the boys have done that and they are proud of the team.

Travis Head is the Player of the Match for his outstanding knock of 91 runs. He says that it is nice to be contributing as it was a test for him. He adds that the goal was to attack from the word go and they did just that. Ends by saying that they play leagues like Big Bash and that is what made him improve his game.

Aiden Markram the skipper of South Africa says that they were slightly better in this game but still not where they want to be. Adds that they will take the positives and learn to improve in the upcoming games. Tells that they batted well and got a few partnerships but also lost wickets which shifted the momentum back and forth. Credits Donovan for the way he played on his debut and they were happy with the total. Mentions that the World Cup coming up is huge and they have got a team in mind and are looking forward to the ODI series.  Says that the fans have been fantastic and they have turned up in numbers even though they haven't performed at their best. Ends by saying that they hope that they can perform better in the future.

... Stay tuned for Presentations ...

Earlier in the game, Aiden Markram won the toss and had no hesitation in batting first. He and Reeza Hendricks played a good knock but it was the debutant, Donovan Ferreira who came all guns blazing at the end and scored a quickfire 48 but had an unlucky dismissal. For the Aussies, Sean Abbott picked up a four-fer and was the pick of the bowlers for them.

South Africa will be gutted by that loss and surely after their exploits with the bat. They would have thought they had enough runs on the board but the Aussies had different plans in their mind. Not much to talk about their bowling side as none of their bowlers were economical. Keshav Maharaj, Gerald Coetzee, and Aiden Markram chipped in with a wicket and that was it.

Australia started the chase a bit slow and lost Matthew Short and their skipper, Mitchell Marsh early on. Travis Head and Josh Inglis then set the tone of the game with some hard-hitting skills. The latter departed after his quickfire knock of 42 but Head continued to flourish and scored 91 runs for his side. He made sure he got his team over the line. Marcus Stoinis played an unbeaten knock of 37 runs.

WHITEWASH COMPLETE! What a sensational display of hitting we have seen from both teams but in the end, it is the Aussies who toppled the series with a clean sweep! To chase down 190 in such a fashion is certainly something that will be remembered for a long. Heartbreak for South Africa though who batted brilliantly but just couldn't hold their nerve with the ball.
