And that's a wrap! Victoria emerges victorious, defeating Rangpur Riders by 10 runs in a thrilling contest. We'll be back with more cricketing action soon! Join us on December 2nd, 2024, at 10 am GMT as Guyana Amazon Warriors take on Hampshire. We'll bring you all the excitement, analysis, and updates. Until next time, it's goodbye from us! Cheers

The skipper of Victoria, Corey Anderson says that the players did a great job and they managed to adapt to that surface well. Adds that they looked to take advantage of the first six over and did them to an extent but they need to improve a bit more in that area. Reckons that they waited for their moment in the field and once it arrived they made sure that they did not allow the game to drift away from them. Credits Max Birthisel and Callum Stow to raise their hand and put up a magnificent show with the ball. Closes by saying that the guys did great and got the job done.

The skipper of Rangpur Riders, Nurul Hasan says that they collapsed in the middle order and didn't learn from the last game and lost again. Mentions that Soumya Sarkar did really well and Steven Taylor too played well but once the field spread they failed to rotate strike and ultimately lost the game. Reckons that the wicket was spinning and their bowlers bowled well and their lack of rotation of strike is the reason why they lost this one.

Callum Stow is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. Stow says he just kept things simple. Adds that it was a good all-round performance from the side and he is delighted to win this one. Mentions that it was a good surface and got slower as the game progressed.

Time for the presentation...

Earlier in the game, Victoria, batting first, rode on a late cameo from Scott Edwards to post a competitive 151 on the board. Blake Macdonald top-scored with a solid 40, while other Victoria batters got starts but failed to convert them into bigger scores. Rangpur Riders' bowlers did a commendable job, with Mahedi Hasan and Rishad Hossain claiming two wickets each. Kamrul Islam and Khushdil Shah chipped in with a wicket apiece, helping to restrict Victoria to a manageable total.

Victoria's bowlers experienced a sluggish start, but they staged a remarkable comeback to defend a modest total convincingly. Callum Stow was the standout performer, claiming three crucial wickets, while Max Birthisel chipped in with a couple of scalps. Dominic Drakes and Corey Anderson also made valuable contributions, picking up a wicket each. This collective effort enabled Victoria to secure a well-deserved victory.

The chase had begun on a promising note for Rangpur Riders, with a blistering 63 runs scored during the Power Play. The opening duo had laid a solid foundation with a 51-run partnership, but the middle-order batsmen failed to capitalize on the momentum, contributing little of significance. This collapse ultimately led to Rangpur Riders' downfall, handing Victoria a thrilling 10-run victory. Apart from the half-century by Soumya Sarkar and a quickfire 26 from Steven Taylor no batter troubled the bowlers of Victoria.

What a game this was. From a winning position, Rangpur Riders bottles this and Victoria emerges victorious by 10 runs.
