Shaheen Shah Afridi, the skipper of Lahore Qalandars, says that he is happy for Zaman Khan and adds that he proved himself and it is also a good sign for Pakistan cricket as well. Mentions that they trust Rashid Khan and the plans he has and he hopes that he delivers for them in the next game. On being asked about Fakhar Zaman, he says that he is a match-winner and he can always do it for them and he hopes that Fakhar Zaman continues to do it going ahead as well. Concludes by saying that he is happy to see Haris Rauf perform as well.

Wahab Riaz, the skipper of Peshawar Zalmi, says that they gave away some extra runs at the end, and their fielding was also not up to the mark. Mentions that they had to get a good start with the bat if the target is 200 but they lost quick wickets and he credits the bowling unit of Lahore Qalandars, by saying that they bowled really well.  Adds that Cutting and Sherfane Rutherford have been playing well, but they have not got enough opportunities. Concludes by saying that they need to play better as a team.

Zaman Khan is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. He says that he is very happy with his performance in this game. Mentions that he has been practicing hard on his slower balls and yorkers, and that is the reason why he can get the yorker right. Concludes by saying that he gets to learn a lot from Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf.

... THE PRESENTATION ...

Lahore Qalandars started off with a bang and it was their skipper, Shaheen Afridi who set the tone upfront and got the big wicket of Hazratullah Zazai. They did leak some runs in the Powerplay and it was Rashid Khan who was taken to cleaners by Kamran Akmal. It was Zaman Khan who got two wickets in an over and Lahore Qalandars were right back in the contest. Rashid Khan did go for some runs in this game but not to forget that he also got the prized scalp of Shoaib Malik. David Wiese also got into the wickets column as he picked up a couple of wickets in the last over and made sure that Lahore Qalandars win by a decent margin in the end.

Peshawar Zalmi had to chase 200 and they did not start well as they lost Hazratullah Zazai in the first over for a duck. Kamran Akmal and Hussain Talat did steady the ship but both of them perished in quick succession and Peshawar Zalmi were put on the back foot. Haider Ali did hold one end but he failed to clear the ropes and did not get going. He did manage to hit a few lusty blows in the end but ran out of partners as Sherfane Rutherford and Ben Cutting got out after clearing the field a couple of times. In the end, they lost wickets in a cluster and fell way short of the target.

A comfortable victory for Lahore Qalandars in the end, inspite of dropping a total of 6 catches. Peshawar Zalmi never really looked like chasing it down and whenever they tried to up the ante, they lost wickets and fell short in the end. Not the best of fielding efforts from Lahore Qalandars but they will certainly take this win with both hands.
