Right then, that will be it from us for this contest. We hope you enjoyed the coverage. The action continues in The Hundred Men, 2024. The next match of the competition will see Southern Brave take on Manchester Originals with Manchester Originals having just beaten Southern Brave Women a few minutes earlier. The Men's game will begin at 11 pm IST (5.30 pm GMT) but you can switch tabs right away and catch our build-up of that game. Cheers!

Liam Dawson is the Hero of the Match. Dawson says that this was a very big game for them having lost the first two games and is happy to get over the line. Adds that they started nicely with the ball and it was a good wicket to bowl on and it got a bit right towards the end but they got over the line. Mentions that the wicket was a bit quicker and he looked to hit the wicket. Reckons that it was one of those scores where you get off to a flier, you get an easy win but it wasn't an easy wicket to bat on.

Earlier in the game, Welsh Fire were put into bat by Dan Lawrence and dragged themselves to a paltry score of just 94 runs in their innings. Luke Wells was the top scorer with 23 while a couple of other batters got starts but failed to carry on. Liam Dawson and Nathan Ellis were the pick of the bowlers with three wickets each for the Daniel Lawrence-led side. London Spirit have finally got a win on board after two losses and bagged two points from this encounter.

Welsh Fire bowlers did not have a huge score to defend but they came out all guns blazing and kept picking wickets at regular intervals. Haris Rauf and Matt Henry were the stand-out bowlers with three wickets each while Mason Crane got the solitary wicket of Liam Dawson. David Willey also bowled a tidy spell upfront. Welsh Fire took the game deep and if they had 20-30 more runs in the bag, then the result would have been different for them. Welsh Fire have now lost two games in a row and will be hoping for a comeback in their next game againt the Trent Rockets.

London Spirit have beaten Welsh Fire in a low-scoring encounter at Lord’s by 3 wickets and have got their first win of the season. Chasing a smallish score of 95 for the win, London Spirit were in tatters at 38 for 4 but Dan Lawrence and Shimron Hetmyer batted sensibly and added 46 for the fifth wicket and steadied the innings. Lawrence made a calculated 29 while Hetmyer remained unbeaten on 30 off 21. Most of the batters from both teams found it hard but Hetmyer showed his experience and took his team home in this contest.

Strategic break! Well, what seemed like a brewing classic, has now turned out to be a fairly straightforward win for London Spirit but it isn't over yet. Welsh Fire bowled brilliantly with the ball in the first half of the chase but given how low they scored, the opposition was always one good partnership away from breaking the back of the chase. Dan Lawrence and Shimron Hetmyer have managed to achieve just that and now the Spirit require 11 runs off 25 balls.
