Right then! That's all from this engrossing contest. There is one more game left in the doubleheader on Saturday. It will be St Kitts and Nevis Patriots vs Trinbago Knight Riders. That game will begin at 4.30 am IST, the next day (11 pm GMT), but you can join us in advance for the build-up. Also, before that game begins there's also a game between Barbados Royals Women and Guyana Amazon Warriors Women, and the winner of that game will head into the final of the Women's CPL. You can switch tabs in a bit and keep an eye on the score of that game. Cheers!

Shimron Hetmyer, the captain of Guyana Amazon Warriors says that the toss is not in their hand, they are professionals and they had to just go out there and give their everything. Adds that all the guys played really well and put on a great fight. Adds that they did well to get to 140 at the end. But still, a lot to learn from this one.

Jamaica Tallawahs skipper, Rovman Powell says that his leg is a bit bruised but hopefully he gets to rest after this game and the swelling will reduce. Adds that it was difficult in the middle since they had world-class spinners. Mentions that this is a short competition and that's why it's good to start on a winning note and take the momentum forward.

Mohammad Amir (4-0-22-3) is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his brilliant display of bowling. Amir says that they took the perfect advantage from the toss and they used the conditions well, he swung the ball around and got the wickets, just what he wanted to do. Adds that the score that the opposition put up was enough, as they had good spinners on their side, but he credits Rovman Powell for the way he played.

The Presentation ceremony...

Earlier in the game, Rovman Powell won the toss and given the moisture in the pitch, elected to bowl first which worked wonders as Mohammad Amir and Chris Green were exceptional up top with the former picking up a couple of early wickets as well. The openers flopped for Guyana Amazon Warriors but the next four batters all contributed and a fiery inning from Romario Shepherd powered them to a defendable score of 142. The same story followed in the run chase as the bowlers dominated early on and spin was hard to get away. It was then a superbly calculated knock by Rovman Powell who kept his wicket intact even though scoring well less than a run-a-ball, backed himself to do the job against the pacers and well, he did it to perfection.

Guyana Amazon Warriors will be kicking themselves after that defeat because they had done really well to get to 142 and then began brilliantly with the ball as well. All three of their spinners, Gudakesh Motie, Imran Tahir and Tabraiz Shamsi bowled really well and picked up wickets at the right time as well. It was their pacers, Romario Shepherd and Odean Smith who let them down towards the end, especially Shepherd, who was brilliant with the bat but leaked a lot of boundaries with the ball. The Warriors will not be too fazed though as it was their first game of the campaign but will look to correct a few mistakes that they made in this game.

Jamaica Tallawahs have begun their campaign with a bang and have got their second win on the trot and it has been their persistence in this match that has got them over the line. It was a sedate start for them and even though Brandon King played a good hand, they lost early wickets. Once King got out, Rovman Powell just couldn't get going against the spinners and they seemed to be staring in the eyes of defeat. With just 3 or so overs remaining Chris Green came in and struck a few powerful blows that got the skipper all pumped up and he took a liking to Romario Shepherd, hitting him to all parts of the ground and finishing the game with 4 balls remaining.

Oh, boy! What a tasty game of cricket we have just witnessed. Guyana Amazon Warriors looked well in control for the majority of the second innings but it wasn't meant to be. 'Cometh the hour, cometh the man', Rovman Powell, the skipper of Jamaica Tallawahs went berserk towards the end and a couple of lusty blows by Chris Green ensured that they got over the line to make it two wins out of two.

Chris Green walks in at number 8.

Romario Shepherd is brought back into the attack and he will probably bowl the 18th and 20th overs.
