Right then, that will be it from this contest. We hope you enjoyed the coverage. Do join us for a Super Saturday tomorrow where we have two games lined-up for you. The first game of the day will feature the Sydney Sixers and the Perth Scorchers from the Sydney Cricket Ground which will begin at 5.45 am GMT while the second contest will see Adelaide Strikers take on the Brisbane Heat from the Adelaide Oval. That game will start at 9.00 am GMT. But as you know, you can always join early for all the build-up. Until then, take care, and cheers!

TIM DAVID WINS THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD FOR HIS BLISTERING KNOCK. He starts by saying that he is pretty stoked with the result. Mentions that the ball comes on well at night. Adds that he is all for putting in the job for the team and settling in and going on from there. Further mentions that he was trying to hit the ball out of the ground pretty much all the time rather than getting in. The players around him said he has earned the right to swing hard towards the latter stages of the game. Concludes by saying they are pretty happy to be at the top of the ladder and they deserve to be there.

Time for the post-match presentation...

Sydney Thunder had a decent total to defend but they leaked plenty of runs in the powerplay. George Garton, Wes Agar, and Tom Andrews were among the wickets but the pace-bowlers had a rough night and were taken to the cleaners. Earlier today, the Thunders batted first and posted a reasonable score of 164/6 on the back of an unbeaten 88 from David Warner while Sam Billings played a decent knock through the middle overs. Riley Meredith and Billy Stanlake were the stand-out bowlers for the Hurricanes while Chris Jordan also looked impressive. The Thunder slide to number three while the Hurricanes take the pole position after this huge win.

The Hobart Hurricanes move to the top of the table. A thumping run-chase from the Hurricanes helps them defeat the Sydney Thunder by six wickets with more than three overs to spare. Chasing a modest score of 165 for the win, the Hurricanes got off to a brisk start but lost their top three in a space of few overs. Nikhil Chaudhary and Tim David had the added responsibility with the bat in the absence of Ben McDermott who was injured in their bowling innings. The duo added 41 for the fourth wicket before Chaudhary departed and it was the Tim David show post that. He smashed six colossal hits in his unbeaten knock of 68 off 38 balls and took his side home in the company of Chris Jordan. The Hurricanes have got five wins in a row now and are looking like strong title-contenders.
