Right then that brings an end to what was a pretty one-sided affair. The action in the Road Safety T20 World Series 2022 continues as the match between India Legends and Bangladesh Legends is about to get underway. Do switch tabs and follow. Cheers!

Bryce McGain is the Player of the Match for his three wickets for 23 runs. He says he felt confident and he felt good out in the field as he was hitting his line well. Claims that he has not bowled a lot after retirement. Mentions that there was a little bit of purchase in the wicket but says all the credit goes to the ground staff. Adds that they have been magnificent in making the game possible especially since they were cooped up in the hotel.

Shane Watson the skipper of Australia Legends says that the wicket held up really nicely and they batted really well. Credits Bryce McGain for bowling really well and putting the lid on in the middle overs. Adds it is a privilege to be out there and be a part of some fun battles. Claims that the feeling of playing is really good. Mentions it is always a big game against England and says that it is going to be a lot of fun.

Kirk Edwards the captain of West Indies Legends says that they were able to get a decent total on the board. Admits that they were not quite at their best with the ball but credits the Australia Legends batters for playing extraordinarily well. Mentions it is a great tournament so far. Adds that they have no plans laid out for future matches and will be happy to play any team.

Time for the presentation...

West Indies Legends put up a competitive total on the board courtesy of a fifty from Dwayne Smith and a good inning from the captain Kirk Edwards who fell four runs short of his half-century. They would have liked 10-15 more runs after the start they had but credit goes to Dirk Nannes who bowled outstandingly well in the death overs. Bryce McGain was the pick of the bowlers for Australia Legends as he picked up 3 crucial wickets for just 23 runs in his 4 overs. At the halfway stage it looked like they had an uphill task but their openers made a mockery of it.

Australia Legends began their innings with gusto as they went after the West Indies Legends bowlers right away. Everything went the Aussies' way as they put on 68 runs for no loss at the end of the Powerplay. With the threat of rain forever present, the Australia Legends openers continued their carnage and were well in front of the required rate. Their captain Shane Watson got to his half-century and brought up the 100-run partnership with Alex Doolan before the halfway stage. The latter got to his half-century soon after but was dismissed by Dave Mohammed as he looked to continue his assault. Shane Watson scored 88 runs in just 50 deliveries including 9 maximums before being dismissed by Dwayne Smith but by then had ensured that Australia Legends would trot home to a comfortable win.

Shane Watson has lost none of his hitting ability and Australia Legends have found this run chase way too easy as they win by 8 wickets and 29 balls to spare! The Aussies will be looking to take this momentum into the business end of this tournament. This has been disappointing by West Indies Legends who lacked any sort of control in this game and have suffered their first loss in this tournament. Australia Legends are suddenly in the mix for the playoff spots with this dominating win. The Windies will need to put this disappointment behind them and come back strong in the next game.
