WATCH: Amelia Kerr Takes Great Running Catch To Dismiss Hemalatha In WPL 2025

Mumbai Indians’ Amelia Kerr took a stunning running catch to dismiss Dayalan Hemalatha of the Gujarat Giants in match five of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 at the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) Stadium in Vadodara, Gujarat on February 18 (Tuesday). 

Kerr, who was fielding on the leg side, covered the distance from deep mid-wicket to long-on and then dived full stretch to get both her hands underneath the ball. That was also the third wicket for Gujarat, who were in a lot of trouble in the game. 

At the time of writing this, Gujarat were 67/6 in the with Harleen Deol and Kashvee Gautam in the middle. 

Earlier, Mumbai won the toss and elected to field first. But Gujarat, who are playing at home, did not have a great start at all. They lost Laura Wolvaardt earlier and then kept losing wickets at regular intervals. 

Mumbai lost their opening match against Delhi Capitals, while Gujarat had one loss against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and one win against UP Warriorz (UPW).
