Travis Head and Australia broke several records in the opening T20I against Scotland at Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh on September 4. The Men in Yellow put on a show with the bat, chasing down 155 in just 9.4 overs, making it the quickest chase in T20I history.
Earlier, Scotland managed to post a fighting total of 154/9, thanks to cameos from George Munsey, Richie Berrington and Matthew Cross. However, all three of them got out in the 20s, with Sean Abbott picking up three wickets.
Australia lost Jake Fraser-McGurk without anything on the board but that’s when all hell broke loose. Head smoked 80 off 25 deliveries, while Mitchell Marsh hit 39 off 12. The two put on 113 runs off just 34 balls as Australia got over the line with seven wickets remaining.
