Follow UsAfter losing their first six games, Shivamogga Lions have now won two in a row to somehow keep themselves alive in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024. Shivamogga, on August 25 (Sunday), defeated Mangalore Dragons by three wickets.
In the first innings, Nikin Jose scored 57 off 37 before MB Darshan (12-ball 18*) and Lochan Gowda (8-ball 19) chipped in with decent cameos to propel Mangalore to a competitive total of 152/7 in their 20 overs.
Shivamogga lost their openers in the first six overs but Rohan Naveen (34-ball 37) and Abhinav Manohar (25-ball 43) added 57 runs to bring them back into the game.
It was eventually S Shivaraj (9-ball 24*) who smoked MB Darshan for two sixes and a four in the penultimate over to take Shivamogga home.
