They sealed their spot in the semi-final following a comprehensive 74-run win against Hubli Tigers in the Maharaja Trophy T20 2024 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on August 27 (Tuesday). Karun Nair (80*) notched up another impressive half-century as he propelled Mysore Warriors to 191/6 in the first innings. In response, the Hubli Tigers’ run chase crumbled under the weight of incisive spells from Manoj Bhandage (2/5), J Suchith (2/12) and Dhanush Gowda (2/26).
Mohammad Taha top-scored with 33 for Hubli but got no support from the other end, with no batter even crossing 15. This was the third loss of the season for Hubli, who have already qualified for the semis and will take on Gulbarga Mystics in their final round-robin game on August 29 (Thursday).
Mysore, on the other hand, will face Mangalore Dragons on August 28 (Wednesday), and a win for them could see them end in second place, provided other results go their way.
