Gill scored his 6th T20 century, joining his fellow Indian team mates Ruturaj Gaikwad, Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul as the Indian batters with the joint third-most tons in T20s.

One innings, Two centurions
Ahmedabad tonight witnessed one of the most unique occurrences, of two batters scoring a century in the same innings in an IPL game. Gill and Sudharsan joined Virat Kohli-AB de Villiers and David Warner-Jonny Bairstow to become only the third batting pair to score individual centuries in an IPL innings.
Sai shines bright
Sudharsan had a few records to his name as well as the 22-year-old became the fastest Indian to reach 1000 IPL runs, reaching the milestone in just 25 innings. He shattered the previous record of 31 innings, which was jointly held by Sachin Tendulkar and Gaikwad.

Daryl Mitchell had a hot and cold day on the field as the all-rounder bowled his most expensive spell in T20s. He tried to rectify the error by smashing a wonderful fifty but that was unfortunately not enough for CSK to win the game. In the process, he became the sixth player in IPL to score a fifty with the bat and concede 50+ runs with the ball in the same game.
